Thanks to Engadget, we have come to know about the list of devices that are likely to get the latest Android 5 Lollipop upgrade in the near future. We already said that Nexus devices will top the line following the Android One smartphones but other big players like Samsung, HTC or Sony are not far behind. Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 are going to be the very first devices coming out with Android Lollipop OS.
Here’s all the devices we know are getting the upgrade:
- Nexus 4, 5, 7 and 10
- Android One smartphones
- Motorolo smartphones – Moto X (1st and 2nd Gen), Moto G (1st and 2nd Gen), Moto E, Droid Ultra, Droid Maxx and Droid Mini. (Check out the official blog post)
- HTC doesn’t have all the details but have said that the upgrade will be available within 90 days of receiving the final software from Google.
- Same goes with OnePlus smartphones.
- Sony will bring Android 5 Lollipop to its complete Xperia Z series by the beginning of 2015.

- LG has no comments over when the upgrade is coming to its flagship smartphone, G3.
- Samsung hasn’t said anything yet but the rumors have suggested that they are working on the Lollipoped version of TouchWiz.
- Other brands like Acer, Asus, Xiaomi and Huawei are also likely to get the upgrade.
