When OnePlus One was announced back in 2014, it created quite the buzz because the specs and features the smartphone came with were just amazing. However we got to know that OnePlus One will come to India without the CyanogenMod OS so the Chinese manufacturer decided to take the matter in their own hands and they started working on their own operating system, better known as OxygenOS. The newest OS is now available for download and you can install OxygenOS on OnePlus One.
OxygenOS is basically their very own ROM for Android device that is based on the latest Android Lollipop version. The name does sound cool and it was suggested by OnePlus One fans itself. So if you own the device and you are looking for a way to download OxygenOS ROM and install it on your smartphone then you can follow the steps mentioned in this article.
The OnePlus One team recently released the first build of the ROM and you can download it easily. The ROM will provide you a stock ROM experience and you can also update the OS easily because the OTA updates will be pushed directly to the smartphones and you can update it to the latest version whenever it is made available to the public. You just have to install OxygenOS once and that’s it.
What to Expect From OxygenOS?
Since the OxygenOS has recently been released, it is the first build so you don’t have to expect that it will be the perfect system because there will be some bugs in the system.
However you don’t have to worry about those bugs because the OnePlus One team has been working really hard to fix all those bugs as soon as they are detected and reported back. You can also do your bit by downloading the ROM and reporting the bugs if you discover any.
There are still many users waiting for the Android Lollipop version to come for their Android smartphones but if you really want it then you can have it by installing this very ROM. The first build of the ROM was tested by many users but there are still many out there who are facing difficulties in installing OxygenOS on their OnePlus One devices.
