Micromax Launches Canvas Win W092 and Canvas Win W121 Windows Phones

Micromax has always been known to come out with budget smartphones. It has made its name in the Android world, competing with the heavy-hitters like Samsung and HTC with its Canvas HD smartphones and Doodle smartphones, and now it seems that Micromax, the Indian mobile manufacturer, is all set to take on Lumia series of smartphones by launching two Windows 8.1 operated smartphones, Canvas Win W092 and Canvas Win W121.

The Micromax smartphones will hit the stores in the Indian market by early July, as per the official Windows blog and are priced at Rs. 6500 for Canvas Win W092 and Rs. 9500 for Canvas Win W121. Both these Windows operated smartphones will come with dual-SIM support.

Micromax Canvas Win W092 boasts of all the decent Windows Phone features that you would love to see in a device. The key features include a 1.2 GHz quad-code Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 SoC supported by 1 GB of RAM.

The smartphone also features some amazing specs like:

  • A 4-inch WVGA IPS display (480 x 800 pixels)
  • Powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 SoC processor

This move has come as a result of mobile OS looking to expand its reach by partnering with mobile companies to launch Windows operated smartphones. The main goal has been to reach more and more people by tapping into new market and offer a wide range of smartphones at every price point.
