Hack Whatsapp: Use Whatsapp Without Your Own Number
If
Fortunately there are ways around providing your phone number, and this article offers two of them geared at WhatsApp in particular. By scrambling the verification servers, you can avoid giving out any personal information over the Internet. This process may sound fancy, but it just involves getting an authorization code for a substitute phone. Are you curious yet? Read on to find out exactly how it can be done!
About WhatsApp
Allowing you to send information over a variety of different media, WhatsApp is a tool that allows people to communicate aurally and visually. It works for Android, BlackBerry, iOS, Symbian, Nokia S40, and Windows Phone. In addition, WhatsApp Web made the program available for PC. The base program is free, but you can pay more for more sophisticated communication options. Since 2009, WhatsApp has enabled people to connect with friends, family, and colleagues in an eclectic blend of ways.
About Spoof Text Message, Fake-A-Message, and Voxox
These are the programs that scramble the system, so to speak. While commonly used for prank texting, these applications also work for the purposes of this article—getting a phone number verified on your WhatsApp account so you are able to start using it. They do this by intercepting texts meant for the bogus numbers you provide. Read on to learn a little bit more about each of these applications.
Spoof Text Message is an Android app that enables you to spoof texts. This requires certain codes, which Spoof Text Message provides—some of them for free. Offered through Google Play, it is a high-rated and reputable app among pranksters and aspiring pranksters. (There have been more than 100,000 installs, so it’s also popular!) The file is small, 936k, so it won’t take up much space on your phone. But it works just as well for non-pranking purposes, which is why it’s used in Method 1 in this article.
Very similar to Spoof Text Message, Fake-A-Message is another spoof text program that is offered through iTunes for Apple products. It’s completely free and the file is small (5 MB), making Fake-A-Message very convenient. It’s also been around since 2009 and has been updated numerous times. So, via evolution, it’s a pretty great program by now.
With a four out of five star rating from over 40,000 people, it’s pretty safe to say that Voxox is a reputable app. It’s a general messaging app rather than a hacking or pranking app in particular, but its capabilities make it a good fit for this article’s needs. It is free, excluding in-app product offerings, and it has seen over a million installs.
Method 1
This method will allow you to get a phone-free verification code with the help of a free fake text message app. All you have to do is provide the bogus number in coordination with the text message app, and the app intercepts the verification code that would’ve been sent to the number you provided. And voila—you get a working code without providing a telephone number, at which point you can start using the program.
For this to work, you need:
- Spoof Text Message
- Fake-A-Message (for Apple)
These programs work by tricking the SMS (short messaging service) and accessing texts sent to a bogus number. You will not need to provide your actual phone number. Follow the instructions below to get your verification code in minutes! (Unless you’re an iPhone user, in which case you should look below for Apple-friendly instructions.)
- Download Spoof Text Message from Google Play store, or download Fake-A-Message if you own an Apple product.
- Open up your outbox (sent messages folder) and copy and paste the message into Spoof Text Message or Fake-A-Message app.
If you have an iPhone, take a look at this extra step: enter bogus phone number in To: field, country code and phone number in From: field, and your email address in Message: field.
After a few minutes, you should receive a message with the verification code. From this point, you can talk to others using the spoofed number.
Method 2
Instead of using Spoof Text Message or Fake-A-Message, this method uses Voxox. Other than that, the process is essentially the same: follow the spoof program’s instructions, and it sends you messages meant for another phone number (in this case, a message containing a verification code for WhatsApp).
- Download and install Whatsapp on your Android/iPhone.
- Get Voxox app from Apple’s App Store or Google Play Store.
- Launch Voxox and create new account.
- Tap More to see your Voxox Number, which you will need to take note of.
- Launch WhatsApp and enter the Voxox Number provided in the last step.
- Go to the Select Country menu and choose United States. (1 will go in the country code number.)
- Shortly, you will receive a message in Voxox with a six-digit verification code. Type this code in to reply or press the link to be directed back to WhatsApp.
If all has gone well, the (bogus) phone number associated with your account has now been verified, at which point you can begin using WhatsApp.
Hopefully you are now using WhatsApp without any problems. Thanks for reading this article!
